We offer a variety of classes in Jazz, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Tap, Contemporary, Pre-Dance, Tumbling, and Competitive Teams for dancers of all ages and ability levels. Come and perfect your dance skills in our three state-of-the-art dance studios, with sprung floors, full-length mirrors, Video for feedback and air conditioning. Whether dancing for study or leisure, fitness or poise, In Motion Dance Center brings the passion of dance to life. Award winning dancer and director Deena Roming started out learning to dance in a center just like this and wants to give back to the community her love and passion for dance she has enjoyed since she was a young child. Deena Dorsey Roming
teaches Jazz, Tap, Ballet and
Competitive Teams


Deena Dorsey Roming grew up dancing in the Bay Area since the age of 3. She has trained in jazz, ballet, hip-hop, lyrical, modern, tap,cheerleading, and tumbling. During her 27 years of dance experience she has held many national dance titles ranging from Tremaine’s Scholarship Winner, and Showstopper’s Dance Champion, to Miss Contra Costa County, and runner-up to Miss California.

Deena has danced professionally for the San Francisco 49ers, Disneyland, and the Golden State Warriors. She’s worked with Tony Bennett, Keith Urban, and Boyz II Men, and has traveled the country dancing with companies like All City Dance and The Repertory Dance Company. She has even performed for our troops over seas touring with the USO!

After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, Deena furthered her education by attaining a Master’s Degree in Dance Choreography and Performance from Mills College.

Deena’s unparalleled dance experience has led her to instruct dance of the highest level for the past 15 years. She truly enjoys every aspect of teaching dance and strives to instill the love she has for dance in every one of her students.

Sheree Christensen
teaches Hip-Hop, Jazz,
Tap and Tumbling


Sheree Christensen began dancing at the age of 6 and has since trained in the disciplines of Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Ballet and Acrobatics. Sheree has choreographed for numerous recitals, pageants, high school half time shows and competitions. Her work has even been seen in several venues across Hong Kong and Beijing, China. Sheree is currently studying Dance and English Education at SFSU so she can continue to share her talents and educate the future generations to come. She encourages her students to shine in the studio, on stage, and in all other sectors of life as well.


Sarah Deboer
Sarah DeBoer
teaches, Creative Dance,
Jazz and Cheer

Sarah DeBoer began her dance training at the age of 4, studying throughout the Bay Area in jazz, ballet, tap, lyrical, modern, hip-hop, and cheerleading, Sarah has performed numerous venues including Disneyland, the East/West Shrine Game and The Long Beach Grand Prix. She has also held many titles such as Tremaine Dance Scholarship recipient, LA Dance Force Scholarship recipient and Miss Teen San Francisco 1999. Sarah holds a Bachelors degree in English and while completing her Elementary Teaching Credential is thrilled she gets to instruct dance to the children of In Motion Dance Center.


AJ
AJ Rogers
teaches Hip-Hop and
Competitive Teams

 

AJ is now entering his 7th year of teaching dance. He has won numerous titles and awards throughout the Bay Area, including Mr. Legacy 2006-2007 and The Shane Sparks Scholarship, enabling him to dance at Broadway Dance Center in NYC. AJ has toured with The Pulse assisting for Chris Judd, danced with Mia Michaels and Brian Friedman, and even danced in an invite only troupe of Brian Friedman’s which performed with Rihanna! AJ’s high energy and hip-hop style is a favorite among many In Motion Dancers. When he’s not dancing, you can find him emceeing for numerous Bay Area events.

Jessica Mulrooney

Jessica S. Mulrooney received her BA in Dance Education at CUNY Hunter College in New York City. For several years she taught dance in Brooklyn, NY where her choreography won high scores at multiple dance competitions. Jessica has performed as a dancer for KTU’s Disco Ball in Atlantic City, The Bowery Poetry Club and the Sylvia & Danny Kaye Playhouse. She has trained at Broadway Dance Center, The Martha Graham School, The Ailey School and The Paul Taylor Dance Co. Jessica hopes to help the young children here in the Bay Area grow and develop into amazing dancers and see how wonderful the world of dance can be!

Andrea Gedosh
teaches Creative Dance,
Jazz and Adult Classes


Andrea began dancing at the age of 6 and has trained in ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, tap, acrobatics, tumbling, drill team, cheerleading and creative movement. During her 25+ years of dance experience, she has attended intensive dance conventions and workshops, performed in many recitals, community events and competitions. Andrea is entering her 5th year of instruction at In Motion Dance Center. She is also the founder of Rhythm In Motion, a pre-school dance and tumbling program in which she teaches numerous children throughout the Bay Area the basics of dance and proper form.
